Synopsis

Marie Angeletti is young, beautiful and happy. But life has given her certain attributes that she quickly realizes come with pain and sacrifice. Raised into a super-human through mind-programming, she can do almost anything she wants, until she realizes she is in love with her best friend, Michael Shaw.

Michael has been targeted by a criminal mastermind who experiments in his own kind of mind programming that always ends in the death of his subjects. Marie is unsure if she can go on without knowing if her friend loves her too, but she finds out too late that even though she can protect him, a price must be paid.

Angelic tells a story of love and pain. It's about teenagers in high school, about crime on the streets, and what lengths one girl will go to protect the one she loves.

The First Entry

Here I am, sitting in front of the computer... starting the first post of a 110,000 word story, and I have no idea what to type. Bad time for writer's block. :-)

Angelic is a story that created itself in my mind for about 8 years before I ever began actually writing it down. It is a story that encapsulates sacrifice, growth, learning and most importantly love in the lives of a few people. It is very much a fictitious story, set in, (hopefully) believable human emotions.

Before you begin reading anything else, you should know that Angelic is much like a comic book. For years I have considered some of the best stories in the world trapped inside comic book pictures. Recent movies like Spider-man or Batman have shown us how dramatic these comic book stories can truly be! I absolutely loved the end of the first Spider-man with Tobey Maguire as he forced himself to walk away from the love of his life. That is a tragic hero, exactly what I am aspiring to in this story.

Even though I am tempted to stress that this is the first story I have ever written, and thus should be given some leeway... I would rather you simply enjoy this because you like it, because you think its good. So, if you are brave enough to read-on, don't pull any punches, let me know what you think!
